I'M NOT JUST A CAR DETAILER

You see laundry , is a basic activity for us here at Silverline.

Let me tell you a little bit about micros.

Micros come in wide varieties. Micros can have a GSM from 200 to over 500. The higher the GSM the "fluffier" the micro can be. We use the lower GSM micros for interior, wheel well, wheels and door jambs. The higher GSM are reserved for paint to reduce/eliminate the chance of damage to your paint.

There is also this really cool ingredient in micros called polyamide. This is the magic in a micro. It helps us do things like clean and absorb stuff.

The wash process for these things can get complicated just like high end clothing ! You want to be sure to use detergent free soap. Why ? Because the detergents never full rinse out and they leave a film in the micros. This can cause aggravating streaks and other issues when detailing. This is the same reason we wash our interior and exterior micros separately. The cleaners used on interiors will also leave residue on your micros and make exterior work a pain in the butt.

The second step of the wash process is no simpler. You think , "just chuck em in the drier" ....NOPE! That same polyamide can melt. Its synthetic and doesn't like heat. If you dry on regular or high heat these fibers will melt and create little hard spots in the micros. These hard spits will cause damage in paint and even some interior parts. This is why we dry on low heat or fluff air.

Hope this was helpful!
